What’s your story?

I've always been a creative/artsy person. That included drawing, painting, sewing, sculpture. I even got a degree in studio art. It wasn't until after I started a family that I yearned for something more to do for myself. I started tapestry weaving in 2006 and was hooked. That then led me to rigid heddle weaving and now weaving on a couple of different 4 shaft looms I have in my studio basement. It's crazy how life leads you in different directions, but somehow you end up right where you should be. I feel this way with weaving. Although it takes time and patience, it is definitely the balance I need for my life right now of raising a family.

Natural and sustainable fibers are important to me right now. Hemp has been one of my go to fibers for the past couple of years as well as cotton. Just the sustainability of them ..and the importance of zero waste/recycling/reusing.
